KB 45mm Motor Info -
09.08.2007, 12:04 AM
Just purchased an 8xl and 10xl from UH. Was wondering what kind of amp draw I can expect. Will run the 8xl on 4 or 5s and the 10xl on 6s, maybe 5s. They will be used in an aftershock, with an emaxx tranny, and stock tires, geared for 40-45mph. I figured that I would need at least a 6000mah 20c battery. Not sure If that would be ok since there is very little info on these motors. Not sure if they will perform similar to the feigao xl cans?!?!?!

They will likely be more powerful than the feigao xl cans, as they are larger diameter.

I may turn the shaft down to 5mm, figured that would be easire than drilling out all of my pinions and making them useless on the other motors I have.

Where do you get these KB motors? I am interested.

Uninted hobbies or offshore electrics, UH is cheaper but watch shipping costs. OSE has great service and fast shipping like Mike here, plus Steven is very helpful and personable too. Great guy, this hobby needs more people like him and Mike.

some of the motors are rated for 3500 Watts according to UH.. I did a short test with my MGT and the KB45 motor... It moved pretty good, it's faster in real life then in the video. I will put it on You Tube...

We will make CC cry. Wow, I stole their slogan. I'm thinking about getting one of this KB45, but I might get a motor that is similar in design as the Align 600L/XL, but it can handle 10S lipos. The only problem is that company won't send me samples to test out.
