Brushless ESC hacking - 09.11.2007, 05:28 AM

I just think why nobody didnt tried yet to hack plane ESC's?
Is this too difficult?
I have 100A 6S plane ESC what perform very well, its not heating up at all...
I use mechanical brake, but one think what i not like that it spool up way slowly, better word more smoothly, no punch. I wonder is it somehow possible to change plane ESC parameters to be more punchya and be more sensitive on trigger.
I like ESC exept that thing on small jumps difficul to correct car position in air, or axelerate on tight areas before jumps.

I have thought about changing the processor on my Spin 75 with one from a car ESC. They are both the same MPU. I even mentioned it in another thread and GriffinRU said it might be possible. I have both controllers in front of me and I'm a little afraid to try it. I think hacking into a MPU will be difficult as the factory put a password at the end of programming.

I wish I was a nerd. I know nothing about electronics. I just know how to sell them LOL. I think I posted more in the temp forum then on this one LOL. I'm actually trying to find a electronic repair shop to see if they can pull it off. If not I'll talk to griffiru to see if he is up for the challenge.

A engineer in Asia. It was the only one that gave me a chance. Everyone else didn't even bother. For once I regret not getting a degree in Electronic Engineering and taking a few programming courses.
