Great pics :) It was such an awesome time. Tons of great trucks, action, and a set of cool guys. They redid the track Fri afternoon for the wkend events, and it was killer. Very fast, big jumps, and very brutal. Lots of casualties too. :) Some of the mains got pretty sparse at the end. lol
FYI: That's me in the last pic in post #3 on the right, Arct1k on the left. Post #5, last pic, RtoL: Serum (Rene), Jhautz, Dafni (i think), then the tall guy a couple down is Smertzhog (Shaun) I believe. That Savage is Jaime's from Fast Lane Machine (he is FLM) and was a piece of artwork. Lots of other amazing trucks as well (including an army of Mike's craftwork.)
Nice thing about it too was everyone showed up to have a great time. There were some awesome, experienced drivers there, like RC Mike (of course), MacII, Batfish (Joe Y.), HnC (Walter), and several others (no offense if I left you off the mention) but then there were others (like myself) who were new to racing and just wanted to have fun and tear up a track. It was fun for everyone regardless of skill level and everyone was very welcoming.
Big hats off to RCMike for working so hard to put all this together for us and really personally driving so much of the BL community, can't thank him enough, Barnstormers for hosting such a cool event and doing such a great job w/ the track, and to all the other people here who work hard to develop, test, and share knowledge of the dark art of the BL conversion world. Hope to see all of you again (and even a few more) next year. Beware, I will be practicing... :)
There were several people taping. I got a few of the mains. The big one being the truggies and buggies. Shaun's friend (super nice guys) did me a favor and filmed me in the MT class main. Its mostly me looking ugly, but was a pretty good race w/ Jaime's savage, until I just crashed the triple too many times and got behind. Had a few issues, but I survived all the raced until the end and took 3rd in MT (tho of 3 at the end) and 2nd in BL open class. I mostly credit my wins to attrition (as the vids will show) and being able to keep the truck together for two days of brutal track action.
