Now that just wasn't right. After having blown up a Quark Monster Pro and a Compro 22418 in a week, I was excited for just a second there.

Cruel, cruel man. I agree that Traxxas & Novak make stuff for the mainstream, but for ease of setup/use I cant really fault the HvMaxx, it just needs to be more powerful, which the new system will be by all accounts.

Sorry guys, I didn't know the castle guy was pulling my leg. Kinda of disheartening to hear that my story is the same as many others, what in the world would take sooo long to produce an ESC, and even longer for a motor?

1. Too busy making escs for planes and boats to bother with car/truck stuff.
2. They didnt even make the motors (which makes it even worse), they just couldnt find someone to produce good enough motors in the quantity required.

I think the motor thing was just an excuse they came up with. If it was up to me, I would fire all the engineers that's doing programming and hire new ones. I have a ESC that uses the same brand of MPU and has no problem with motors that has 4 and 6 poles. Plus this little ESC has an option for A123 or the 3.6V batteries. This ESC was made by one engineer.

well, i would put money down in vegas that CC has learned a very valuable lesson to not let the cat out of the bag early anymore. most moderately big companies go through that lesson.
i'm sure we can all agree that when the MMM comes out, it'll be near-bulletproof.... after all, it'll have been tested for a long, long period of time! too bad they've lost so many sales to people who got tired of waiting and went with another esc.

It might not be bullet proof. As Patrick said in another forum he was going to just add a power board like what GriffinRU did, but it didn't work for Patrick LOL. So he said he wanted to start from scratch.

Not to be cross here but I totally agree with this statement. There is nearly no proof that the product is being tested at all. I'd bet the delay is because it's been shelved. No work. No progress. The MMM is vaporware.
I think Castle could develop one if they wanted but I'm guessing it's never gotten past the Alpha development stage. Maybe they will turn their attention to it again...someday...
