maxamps or flightpower?????? - 09.29.2007, 11:29 AM

I'am not certain about wich one to take.
I hesitated between the Maxamps HV4000, 14.8 volt and the Flightpower EVO 25, 3700 mAh, 14.8 volts.

Which one give me better punch and better runtime.??

Please help..

David

I will guess that everyone who has had both will say the flightpower. I have the 4000 14.8 and would not use it in a heavy vehicle. It works fine in my LS10 4wd nitro conversion, but my 5000 4s works better. A pair of those trak power lipos in the case look good and the cells perform very well, looking at the data others have posted about them. These are for your revo? If so I would say to get 5000 or bigger cells.

Word, I would go for the flightpowers, they don't cost that much more, but they perform a lot better, going by others eagletree results, and user accounts. I would also get th 5000mah packs, the 3700mah packs should be used with 6s setups.

It's not for a revo conversion, it's for my crt.5, runing on a feigao 12L motor.
Don't be certain to put a 5000 pack on this little truck
That's for this reason that i ask which better between flightpower 3700, 4s or the maxmaps 4000, 4s.

Ok, thought it was for the revo, on the 12l go with which ever pack is smaller, not too much space on the crt.5. I run my 4000 4s pack in 10th scale and it works fine for me.

Het James, is your diff and center slipper hold up well on your lightning stadium 10 on 4s li-po???

Ask it because i've the same truck, but with a .12 TZ nitro engine, and i always broke the pin on the slipper assembly. And the rear dogbone always pop out.

I suppose that on big power brushless, you break alot.

The rear shocks need a limiter inside them to limit the travel so that the rear dogbones stay in. You could also put hpi mt2 universals in, they fit fine. I have not had any trouble with my slipper, but have never adjusted it either. I love the truck, it is grat, more fun than a crt.5 when bashing cause it is bigger and has more ground clearance. My 10l is running a 14t pinion gear and the stock spur and it runs cool and gets great runtime with the 4000 4s pack. I also run a pair of 5000 2s packs wired in series, a little heavier but better runtime. I ran my 10l in a crt.5 on 3s 4000 lipo, but it needed 5000 3s to run cooler battery-wise. I much prefer the 10l on 4s, I would run that 12l on 4s, the 4000 pack will be fine.
