Gotta remember we aren't pulling 100A continuously to generate tons of heat. Judging by people's runtimes and battery capacities, the average amp draw seems to be right around 15A. Assuming ESC efficiency at ~90% and running 4s, that's about 20w being dissipated on the ESC. With any kind of airflow across those fins, they should stay cool. If your ESC is any more than 40*F above ambient, then a fan (or better yet, better heatsinks) would help a lot.
