Charger Help - 10.24.2007, 07:06 PM

Hey guys Im looking for a new charger and I am set on the Hyperion EOS1210i. I read that it had a built in power supply, does that mean that I can plug it into the wall?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes I believe it does mean that. Some chargers come more as a "field charger", with battery clamps to hook up to your auto battery.

When it says it comes with a power supply, it means you can plug it into the wall.

I just purchased a MRC Super brain 989 charger. I'm VERY pleased with it.

As far as I know the Hyperion does NOT come with a built in power supply. You might want to double check that info.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

That charger is in fact NOT capable of plugging directly into the wall. It needs a 12v DC power supply. To use the full power output capabiity, you'll need a 12v source that can supply at least 24 amps.

Here is the manual: http://www.b-p-p.com/EOS1210i-MAN-ENG.pdf

Dang! I'm not exactly batting 1000 today.

Could there be another version?

Where did you read that it has a built in power supply RC4x4nut?

I can also assure you that it does not have a built in power supply since I used to have it. This is also the reason I sold it. I didn't have the money for the power supply.

I bought the MRC Superbrain 989 instead, and I couldn't be happier with it.
