Hey sike, try adding a novak power cap to the input leads of the quark. Use the cap that they sell for the HV system. I have a few installed on MM and they really cut down the heat, especially on long runs. Anything to help the little qyuark survive. The cap will help with current spikes. You sound like you have plenty of battery capacity, voltage drop also leads to heat build-up. Sounds like a cool setup, is it 2wd or 4wd?
