the start of my brushless conversion - 11.05.2007, 01:16 AM

I finally started to order my stuff i need to do my brushless conversion. i ordered the motor today. 9xl. and tom. i order my motor mount and 19t pinion. and the tekno wing mount.

right now i have

-revo 2.5
-wide gears in tranny
-foc
-94361 servo.
-mx-3 fhss
-impulse 4cell 4800mah. 20c

and this is how it sits. now with the new tmaxx radio box. i took out the battery and installed a castle creations bec.



i should be getting the speed controller (mamba max) by the end of the week so it should be running soon.

i would be kina worried about your battery thoug... i made a plasic box for mine and added foam around the entire inside. with it exposed like that if you roll over it wil lreally bang it up...and we all know lipos are delicate

I'm guessing you shop at the Hobby People in Chino Hills?

oh dont worry about the battery. i still got to make a tray for it lol.

and metalman. i work at hobbypeople in chino hills lol.

ok i just put my order in for a motor mount, pinion, and wing mount.

Have I asked you that before? If not, it must have been someone else .
I work at the HP in Fountain Valley. And I use that same battery in my Hyper 8, and 359 controls the steering. Good stuff!

today i finished my battery tray and got it mounted. just need to get some velcrow straps

I GOT MY MOTOR TODAY!!! its a lot bigger then i tought it would be lol.




i also noticed it did not have the flat spot for the set screw on the pinion to go onto. do you just have to tighten the set screw as best you can or is there something else i have to do. (i have not gotten the pinion yet but does it use a set screw or is it a push on one?)

Yup, do it yourself. The pinion won't hold unless you make the flat spot. You can also use a sanding wheel for slower (more controlled) results.
