140 is max for the li/mn, but I never see mine over 120, even pushing them hard.

Well, I got my wheels and tires in friday, mounted them last night and went to drive it this morning, needless to say I'm pretty pissed off right now, my pinion gear keeps on falling off because there's no flat spot on the motor shaft, I'm guessing I got a lucky motor that didn't have one as I assume all Neu's have that flat spot. Can anyone help?

Edit: Oh yeah, and the pinion is gone.. lost forever and I've no idea what tooth count or size it is.. After spending this much money I'm kind of disappointed that I havent even gotten to run it for a full charget yet.

What ring and pinion ratio are you running, and what spur, I can help you find the right pinion.

All I know is the center is a hotbodies diff and the front and rear are both stock X SS diffs.

Send mike an e-mail I'm sure he will remember the pinion size. You may be able to use a drill or file to make the flat spot as well. There is also a loctite for pinions which I posted about in the other thread. I don't know how well it would work though.

RC cars will always have some stupid little problem with them if they are custom made. just try and fix them without getting too mad.

you can probably send the new to mike and he will make you a flat spot.

i would think.

Yeah I shot him an e-mail and all is getting sorted out, I'm about to order a few pinions to see if I can lower the motor temps as they were way too high the first go-around and Im waiting on my buddy to get back from vacation so I can use his dremmel. Thanks for the input and help.

Edit: I already appologized to Mike if I was a little harsh as this weekend was pretty bad for me and this was like the icing on the cake. I've come to realise that with custom creations a few mistakes can and will be made as the business I'm in requires everything to be 100% custom also (cabinetry) and sometimes things just don't turn out the way they're supposed to. Anyways, hopefully I'll have some new photos up and possibly a video once I get everything sorted out with the motor temp problem.

13/51 or 14/51 pinion spur as delivered(don't remember exactly). 50k center diff oil on a Hot Bodies LSP diff. I suspect the constant diff unloading as described is a major factor in the motor heat(similar to running the motor unloaded if the front tires are in a constant state of ballooning). 100k diff oil would be a nice place to start with the adjustments. :)

The 51T spur gear will bolt to it without any modifications. It will make your truck handle much better. I use it on my BPP truck and 2 of my buggies. It also has helped in keeping my front diff alive.
