Any of you guy's know if the CC BEC uses a n-type or p-type fet? I shorted out my bec doing some amp testing (was testing amps then went to check volts and forgot to switch around the leads on the meter

Hate doing that) anyway it didn't completly fry the BEC's fet just part of it? as it still worked but would only put out 300ma or so...
Anyway I'm going to replace the fet but I can't make out all the part numbers (had to fry just where the part # was) I know it's a fairchild SO-8 but I don't know if it's p-type or n-type. If one of you EE type's can figure it out, the fet is supplied and switches on the positive BEC input side, the fet's gate has a low positive voltage (0.60v) when the BEC output voltage is low, and the fet's gate voltage climbs (6.60v) as the BEC output voltage climbs. Mabey I need to put the oscillascope to it to get more info on the gate signal? I have such a hard time with the p-type/n-type thing
If one of you guy's could point me the right way, or if someone could take a picture or post the part # from a CC BEC, I would realy apreciate it. Otherwise I am going to order a second CC BEC, open it up, figure out the part# and order a replacement part and use the second BEC in my 1/8th buggy (the fried one is for my XXXT)...
