just wondering why are you going to be striping the blue color off. are you going for some kinda color theme

Just to be different, I actually prefer the blue to unfinished aluminum. Everyone and their mother has a blue chassis 3.3 though.

I've been busy this evening and the truck is looking great. The anodizing all came off really easy but the fumes made my head all loopy.

chassis having an easy off oven cleaner soak:


All the parts I stripped:

hey jsut a fast question. say you wanted to paint the chassis a different color after you stripe it what kinda paint would you use.

Thanks guys. Squee, I will get a new wing for it, I want one of the high downforce ones in black and the new traxxas one for photo's and the dust boots are shot. I'm thinking about dying the new ones when I replace them.

As far as painting, it will chip, but you would prep, primer and paint it like any other metal.

looks great! you should paint the springs and turnbuckles and pushrods.
