Holy flying monkeys batman, I like the look of those ALOT! As for voltage/cell count- you would base it on the kv rating/number of turns. Basically whatever cell count/voltage you can run that wont exceed about 40-45,000 rpms maximum ideally. I would really like to know more info about those 550 sized duo motors, especially kv ratings and magnet size; knowing its sensored though is a very good start.

EDIT: 12-13mm rotors... about the same size as the HvMaxx motors. Hmm, disappointed now.

The only other option, since you have the esc working, is the crazy 7-8XL mod. You use the Hvmaxx as the sensor, and plug in the sensor wires to the esc, then wire a feigao to the power wires. The critical thing is syncronising the motors, by rotating the feigao rotor by hand until the magnet is 'matching' the hvmaxx motors magent position.... its really rather complicated, and Im rather fearful of trying it, but if you get it right, the results are great apparently. Personally, i'd just buy another sensored motor that the esc can handle.

In all honesty there are precious few larger sensored motors around. Aveox sell them, but they cost more than 2 hvmaxx motors put together (quality is very high though)- not sure whether they would work with hvmaxx esc though. Feigao sell XL can sensored motors too believe it or not, but they are special order items- GriffinRU knows much more than I do about them; the sensor wires need to be re-arranged though since the phases fire in a different order or something like that. The duo looks like the best bet, provided the sensor wires are in the correct order and you can make/buy a doubled ended cable from Novak (sure they sell them)- for the price they look okay, and they have a built in fan for extra cooling, which is always good.
