that's a gorillamaxx motor mount, not the current edition tough (they dont have those anymore on their site but you can still get them) I like the look and works pretty good for a LIGHT motor, if to heavy as with my 8xl it tends to spring to much... but can be fixed with a rear custom motor mount I guess.
I like that the weight distribution is really good with this mount BUT it's has a high center of gravity lol
Working on:
Twin CF GorillaMaxx (8S motors on 2x2slipo)
2WD AL. GorillaMaxx (7lbs with batteries)
Serum, I see you know your stuff a lot... can't get anything past you, hehe. I do have al. pivot balls and al. turnbuckles, the wheeliebar is only on when I run on the street and not counted in my weight. I know the xl is 60g lighter but i'm happy with my 8l for the moment... that xl is sure more expensive... On your truck you mover the tranny forward, how did you acheive that? did you make custom dogbones? how was your weight distribution? mine is really close to 50/50 front and back, I only have about 100g more in the back.

No, it's simple done by flipping the transmission, since the singlespeed uses the same output shaft as the stock two speed gearbox you can simple turn it around. (you can do this too, it doesn't require other shafts)
You can shift the weight balance with batteries rather easy. If the pack is thin enough to slip below the servo horn you can go any way you like it.
