Hippie,

Sorry...I don't mean to hijack your thread...back to your original topic-BL system for CRT.5. I will say this...the Neu 1509 1.5D and MMax ESC work great together. I was concerned I was going to have problems similar to when I tried the MMax with my 1515 motors...but not this time. Zero cogging with 15/46 gearing...temps are okay too...but it is cold outside so I guess it is hard to say.

Here's the bottom...I just used two screws to mount the tray and added Velcro to the inside bottom of the tray and botom of the battery (adds some cushion and keeps it all together). The bolt pattern with the tekno tray was a perfect match on the ext chassis.

Yes my motor is 5070kv but im only running 2s, but for the little bit of time i got to run it im very satisfied with the speed . dont worry about the hijack . It's cool as long as it's about CRT.5's .

hippie, are you going to do a EXT chassis?

And how do those tires hook up?

One note on Mike's CRT.5 chassis...its not a big deal, but I did have to dremel grind a little bit around the front dog bone (mainly the ball) that is included with the kit. The main reason is because the dogbone that mike includes in the kit is beefier than the stockers. If you don't have a dremel or aren't handy with one...then you could order a second rear dogbone for about $8 from Ofna since it is exactly the same length as the CRT.5 EXT chassis front dog bone.

I dont know i really like the look right now of the stock chassis. Besides if i get the extended chassis it will be fairly close in size to my full size crt . It will be like having 2 crt's. The tires hook up very very well. I was riding wheeles for at least 10 15 feet, on 2s lipo.

Glad you like the 7s, It was a good motor, my old 7 cell nimh could not keep up though. I recently recieved a hacker 15l motor for my converted Lightning Stadium 10. Should be interesting on 5s lipo! Trying to convert my fleet to 5s or higher. Not sure if all of my 10th scale will need to go to 5s as I have alot of 3000kv or so motors that work great on 3s.

It seems to have more than enough power & top end for me on the street. I'll have to take it to the track when i get my new MM from castle to see if i still feel the same way about it .

Yeah you are pretty darn handy with the kydex...nice batt trays! I wonder if the tekno mount would fit? Not so much for me...but maybe somebody else would be interested in running the stock chassis with the tekno batt mount. I have to say...I really like the smaller footprint of the stock chassis...small but super durable...ready to drive right thru an RC18 or mini-t hahahahahaha

Not sure if the tekno mount would work unless it was stood up . I did that with an emaxx battery tray and it worked fine. Not much real estate on a stock crt.5 chassis for a big battery and tray.
