reversing motor position with Gmaxx motor mount?

hi guys, me again

just wondering what advantages there are of reversing the motor with the gmaxx chassis, ie. hanging over the rear plate, and do changes have to be made to the channels or something to make the car move in the right direction due to the reversal of the motor?
