The CC controllers should start the motors MUCH better. And, they shouldn't have any issues with a 14pole motor at 25,000 RPM:

Ver Interesting, thanks for the link Metalman. Given your experiences, should I buy the OEM, or put the money toward a pait of castle HV controllers?

Just looked at the price and my cost is not that different after the s/h is factored in (maybe 40-50 buck differencefor the pair). Now it would be nice if I could use a pair of hv45 escs, but I do intend on running 6s - 10s and do not think that 45 amps at 6s will be enough. THe hv85 seems to be the best bet, I may get one and try it out on my redcat first, just to see how much better it is!

If the difference is only $40-50 for you, definitely go with the HV85s.

BTW, my HV110 should be in soon! I might give it a try in my MT2 before throwing it back on my Savage.
