You could buy PinkVo today and have it as soon as I get back home But it uses an E-maxx tranny, stick packs, and a TQ3.

Oh, and if you want a cheap setup:

TrueRC 4S LiPo
Hyperion or similar charger and balancer
Mamba Max ESC
Feigao 9XL
Tekno conversion or RCM parts (Tekno is easiest)
RCM 17 or 18T pinion (5mm)
Misc connectors, etc.

That about sums it up. I turned around all my nitro stuff in about a week or so. The engine took about 2 weeks though, since it's winter.

is there any once lace that will sell everything? i ask because i will probably get slammed by customs fees left and right.

so one of the main things i want to do is get my revo ready for when monster jam comes to Toronto(where i live), they had r/c's on the track then, doing jumps and whatnot, before the show too. that's jan 19-20, gah!

so, again, i just want it to run, but i will just say the 'budget' is $800(give or take)
what would the set up be?

how hard would it be to sell the nitro guts? hmm.
Are you signing up to run the Half time show at next years Monster Jam... Most of the guys there are running their Baja 5B and FG Marders... it's gonna be hard to hear the brushless over the Gasoline.... but I guess that's the beauty of it.... A bunch of guys from the London and TO area are gonna be in that show.... Any how, customs only charge you taxes, or $5-8 for handling... it's not bad.. as long as they don't ship UPS to you... USPS, Priority Mail or Fedex is fine....

Nitro guts are always easy to sell.... so you've just increased your budget to $1000. .congratulations...

I saw some baja's last year, i think, i havn't signed up yet, is room tight?

I'm not worried about it not being loud enough, with a hot pink body with Barbie Decals.. all the little girls will be cheering! it would get more than enough attention.

As far as setups go, I would go with something like:

MM ESC
Castle BEC
RCM motor mount
Feigao 7 or 8XL
TrueRC 4S2P 8000mah pack
Tekno kit minus the motor mount
and the various odds and ends.

Personally, I would leave it 2 speed. That, with a Traxxas center diff kit and rear brakes would make for a killer setup. Thats what I'm gonna be running. I'm just waiting on my MM to get back from CC.

Yeah leave the 2 speed and mech brakes. It really works well like that. You may even be able to get away with a feigao 10l on 4s lipo and use the clutch provided with the tekno kit. I am running a similar sized aveox motor and it is fine, stays cool enough and can wheely on demand!

I take it you guys have tried the direct drive? For racing, it would take some tuning, but manual brakes would be the best. For bashing, I think the direct drive is best.

Actually my other 20 trucks are direct drive, no clutches. And they all use the esc for brakes too. I am trying some hv and 2 speed setups, so the clutch is handy and mech brakes are required. Just something different, but I will say that mech brakes help to keep everything cool!

Yes, I love the Mechanic Brakes... Direct drive and Mechanic brakes, would be perfect... Sike... you have picks of all ur trucks.. I wouldn't mind keeping them for archive...
