How do I get my 80amp Competition ESC repaired by Quark? - 12.22.2007, 09:54 PM

How do I go about this? Is there some type of form I have to fill out?

What is the warranty period on these anyway? I got this back in Feb. and it ran VERY good. Is this one of those $50 repair jobs?

I never ran this out of specs and it didn't get hot or anything either. It just stopped! It hasn't been modified other than additional caps on the power lead.

Now it doesn't chime the motor nor does it send any power to the motor.

The Brain board is still somewhat alive at least. It does blink when I power up, and different led's light with different throttle settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not going to be any help Sike, but I may need a 125b repaired too as it is causing issues. I asked a similar question and the info should be on quarks website. At least that is what briang said.

Warranty was 120 days for my 125. I think they have a half price replacement plan for out of warranty stuff. I just e-mailed them about the two that I burnt out and they sort it out.

I just called them and got the repair address (someplace in Califironia) from customer service and sent my 125b in with a note about what happened. I didn't mention when I bought it I just sent it in and told them what happened and I got a repalcement sent to me without any questions. Its been a while since I did it, but it was very easy and fast when I did.

Just go to Quarkbrushless.com and get the contact info.

Thank you Jhautz. I sent them an email.

I would love to get my Quark 80amp replaced. It's been a really good ESC for a long time. I suspect when it shut down, it might have thermaled and the thermistor did not reset. I'm not really sure though.

The boards look fine and I can't spot anything burnt or broken.

I'm sending a 125b back, and I'm using the address on the website:

Sky & Technology
500 E. Carson Plaza Drive, Suite 222
Carson, CA 90746

Can I just send it without talking with someone? I do have a writeup of the problem in the package.

I haven't gotten a response to my email yet.

So what do I have to do? Do I just send it there?
