Hey Wildman,
My settings are the default settings, except I switched to 5 Lipo for the battery setting. I will tell you this...unbeknownst to me...when I plugged into the USB interface, the software automatically returned my controller to default settings...to include setting it back to 2-pole motor mode. This took me about an hour to figure out why the controller wouldn't work after I checked my settings. I went thru the initial setup about four or five times and the controller would just sit there and beep. Well, I went back to the USB and noticed that it was in 2-pole motor mode-bingo. I set it back to 4-pole mode (for Neu motors are 4-pole motors) and went back thru the setup procedure and everything works fine now--whew!!!!!! Quite a scare I had there. You can see the video of my maiden run if you goto my picasa link http://picasaweb.google.com/ssspconc...36201234213570

UPDATE:

After I e-mailed Martin, I got a call back from him (That was nice) and he said no matter what the case is, they will fix it ... and that it will not take too long to do so.

He will be needing the ESC and the motor being used, which I will FedEx to him ASAP.

ohh, and if the problem is from the ESC and not the setup they will fix it at no additional cost (under warranty) ...

The good thing is that $800 will not be a total waste and the fact that they want to see the ESC and motor, indicates that even if the problem is form the ESC, they want to understand why!

I will keep you guys posted.

Az

EDIT: SO far MGM Compro customer service is an A rated

If it is the controller...Are they going to take care of the motor too?

I must of misunderstood your previous post...I thought you meant that the controller and the motor were fried. My thought was that if the motor was fried because of the controller that they should replace/repair that too. But after going back and re-reading your post I see that you wrote "both" controllers were fried...not "both" the motor and controller.

I take an electronic laboratories scale (0 to 6kg). I put a stand on the scale, make a Zero, and put my truck on the stand.

Me e-revo, with Panthers Komodo tire weigh 9.4lbs and with Proline badlands tires, it's 10.5lbs.

I wonder if you can get one of those scales at Home Depot or Lowes...I am not at all familiar with the brand or application. I suppose a decent postal scale could be purchased from OfficeMax.

I used Brian's speed calculator to see how fast your truck is going and it showed speeds of over 66MPH. The MGMs that I have don't cog at all.

Thanks dude. Yeah it does cog some at launch...mainly when I mash on the trigger...the problem is probably due to the gearing: 18/46. I am going to put in another order with Mike and get some more smaller pinions. I do have some smaller ones but they all are on my other trucks. As far as weight goes...I don't have a scale so I am not sure. I will say this...it is heavier than I thought it would be. When I compare it to my all aluminum emaxx trucks, I don't see a significant difference. BTW...What kiind of scales do you guys use?
