Storbe spur gears options? - 01.02.2008, 07:48 AM

Does any one run a different size spur on their strobe besides the Ofna 51 tooth? Just wondering if there is other gearing options I can use beside only changing the pinion.

You can buy 65T spur for Ofna monster pirate that works after little bit of dremeling - holes are ok but there is some material (the ring) around holes that needs to be removed for the plate to fit

I am trying to stay with a Mod 1 gearing. That 65 looks like a 32 pitch but it could just be the picture.

Yeah, I've used that 65t spur as well. It works ok after a few minutes with the dremel.
Because it's so big you might have to drill another hole in the standard motor mount plate or extend the adjustment slot a bit depending on the pinion you use.
