Serious brain fart. I just re-read your original post, you may not have the motors wired properly, also the esc my act differently with brushed motors. It will take me a bit but I do have my ESC wires prewired to work for brushed motors, I just have to plug one in and see what it does...

Did you follow the wiring diagram correctly?

hey it was over-voltage is all. took it outside just now and messed with it.. it ran slow for a few mins and then progressively stated to work right.. I guess when the voltage dropped on the lipo's alittle.
thanx for all the help but I think this is it..

Hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm, tried to use the brushed motor on 3S and no go. I tried to use the sons 6 cell NIMH and wouldn't you know, he forgot to charge it :( seem no matter how many times you remind him... So it's charging no to make sure it still works with brushed at 7.2v. Last time I used it with a brushed motor I had a 2S lipo. Mabey you can't put more than 7.4v into a brushed motor with the MM?

OK, minor stupidity running rampent in my head. I was plugging in the brushe motor wrong.... Mabey I need to go to bed early tonight. The MM does run the brushed on 3S just fine. The led's are just like when it runs a brushless.

Overvoltage? you must have the Gen3 MM?
