Xray E-XB8 spurquestion (plastic) - 01.03.2008, 04:08 AM

Hi, this is my first post on this forum.
Im from Sweden so my english/spelling is´nt great but here goes.
I recently bought a Xray XB8 and is turning it to a brushless setup. I have heard from many peolpe that one should use a plastic spur... I know you can use the hardened pinions from rc-monster, that is what i entend to do. But a also want to get a plastic spur.....

Does the central diff (with plastic spur) from a Kyosho MP777 fit on the XB8? The bearings has the same measurement så they fit in atleast one of the mount, but is there the same distance between the bearings? if so they shold fit like a glove? Does anyone know?

By the way, here is a pic of the victim stripped:

thanks!

once i get my xt8 back (it's currently being converted to brushless), i plan to find out. the xt8 and xb8 use the same center diff/spur, so i'll let you know in a couple of weeks what i find. let us know what you find, if you get an answer sooner.

the pic didn't work in your post, btw.

I just made a test, a complete Kyosho center diff does not fit in the mounts, it is to long (app 3-4mm to long)....... so jhautz, please explain how you did. There has to be some kind of mod before you can fit the diff......

Sorry man. I never istalled a Kyosho dif in my xray, When I posted that I just went to my parts box and compared some spare difs I have around. I thought I grabbed a Xray to compare to the kyosho, but it must have been a Cen dif I looked at. Sorry again for the bad info. Just trying to be helpful and didnt double check my work. That and its now clear that I have way to much stuff around here to keep it all straight any more.

I was able to place a Kyosho plastic spur on the originaldiff, what i did was to drill the holes to 4mm...... then it fits!
