Are 9918 warrenty protected?

Basically, if you keep the wires as short as you can and keep the solder joints clean, you will not have any problems. The BK controllers are less susceptible to these problems. Obviously, it makes good sense to stay as close as you can within these guidelines, but I doubt you will have any trouble.
