Can we get the New Cooling Fan Option on MGM controllers from Mike? - 01.10.2008, 05:15 PM

Does anyone know if New Cooling Fan Option on MGM controllers will be available from Mike? ....I will gladly take what I can get, fan or no fan when they come in again though....Fans would be nice

As an alternative to 5v fans, you could use easy-to-find 12v fans and use a regular cheap LM7812 regulator to bring the voltage down to 12v as long as you are using 4s or thereabouts...

I used to have on my Quark 24V fan that was powered by 16 NiMh cells and speed was about right then after couple rock got into fan I got rid of it and improved passive cooling - FLM chassis is very nice heatsink :)

Actually, it's not that bad as long as the battery voltage is fairly close to the output voltage and the current is around 100mA (most 40mm fans are around 50mA).
