Crt.5 Brushless project Finished - 01.16.2008, 01:07 AM

It is a crt.5 with the RC-Monster EXT chassis kit. It has a MM ESC & 5700 motor. On the first run with it I used a 11.1V 3s 5000mah lipo. I almost ruined the CRT in 5 minutes. To much power for a rookie driver. I'm not ready for the 11.1 yet so I used a 7.4 8000mah in it. With the 7.4 in it is was managable.

Very Nice Body design, it's fantastic.

I used a 12t pinion from Mike. The runtime was more than 30 mins

What kind of street tires will fit on the Crt.5 stock rims?

Very nice. I would really like to get one of these. Money is always an issue however!

I'm interested to see how you do with the 5700. Mine's doing fine so far on 2s or 3s. I'm running a 14t pinion. Btw, my crt.5 broke a front knuckle with only a slight bump. CNC knuckles are a must. Otherwise its an awesome little car.

I had both the chassis & motor mount black anodized for about $35. I know the the anodizing company pretty well.

I thought mike must be selling them that way when I saw yours RCHabit. Maybe mike will have to get a batch sent off for the other guys who are now keen.

I wish I could of bought it black, he gets his Xray mount and motor clamp/heat sinks black...... So its not like it would be new, I think he should offer everything in black, and then normal
