which speedo for my savage? - 01.20.2008, 12:16 AM

i have been following the brushless scene now for about 4 months. Decided this is what i want to do with my savage. due to damage i inflicted on it it is cheaper to go the FLM way vs finedesign/karwashar(sp?)

no my two big questions are, what speed controler do you guys recomend me using

what motor (fergio? nemisis?)

let me everything yo uhave to say, i am hear to learn so everything helps.

PS i plan on bashing it heavily. more priority placed on working without breaking vs proformance (still would like to be running in the 40's like my SH powered savage hits

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I started this hobby with the brushless savage as well.

What savage have you got? is it the older style diffs or has it got the 'easy access' savage X diffs?

are you using plastic or the HPI aluminum differential cups?

there are many variations to convert yours to BL.

here, go through this website, there are quite a few savages on it, perhaps you'll get some inspiration from it (if needed) http://picasaweb.google.nl/buikpijn

the thing is that the new FLM electric kit makes converting a savage simple and easy. no need to fabric your own parts.

Here, please read this thread, it might be interesting.

Are you planning on going lipo or NIMH?

righ tnow my savage is a hpi savage one half x. It was a 25 when it started out, bu tnow it was a x radio box, aluminum diff cups, old bulk heads (no easy acsess) and almost all HD drive train parts. I broke one of my 25 tvps which i why i want to to do the FLM conversion which includes all the chassis parts.

i plan on using either lipo or nimh cells, not sure of the real advantages of the lipo if i don't plan on racing

Let me know
