I have a 24t pinion thats as big as I could find ...I will try and see how that does ...with the 20/68 everthing was cool after running.

I have a 58t spur the 24t pinion might reach ..lol ....Its 28 degrees and icy here this morn to I will have to wait for bit......I may go to 5s right now I am using (2) 8000mah 7.4 maxamp lipos in series.....maybe use two 5s 5000 18.5v packs....I already have two 3s 5000 11.1v packs I could run in series...6s too much you think for 1515/1y?

Only gear up if you staying with 4s. If you use higher voltage don't gear up until you see how it goes.
For normal use I would guess that 6s is a bit much on the 1y, but I'm not sure.
I'd just try 68/24 on 4s first and then go from there.

I put in 62/24 and the 58 jato spur fit fine, I just couldn't get the big ribbed new close enough without hitting the tranny even with 24t pinion .......test tomorrow

Ok I ran the 62/24 on 4s with mgm settings changed (freewheel off, accel .013 setting) and it ran much better faster, flipping on its lid now... motor and esc were barely warm ... it was ever so slightly spongy down low so I think I will try 65/22 gearing....I could see 5s being perfect for me but I want this to be driven by friends when they come over so 4s is plenty for this ...I want to run 5s in my revo setup, but will try the 4s first
