Yea, I added the caps in myself, which are 330uF 35V.

I had two suggestion today for replacement fets.

Fairchild FDP8860 and IRL3713.

Current fets are IRL3803. Any of you guys know which of the above would be a better choice?

I reckon GriffinRU would know which fets are the better choice- can you look up the specs on digikey?

wow that seems like a hell of a deal. $105 to your door for a brushless system for an emaxx. Heck I would be willing to risk it. It is pretty nice they are using to-220 fets those are easy to replace.

I would try one of the following:

IRF2804 (Just seems to be a monster of a FET and it has lower resistance and 40 volts to be on the safe side)
IRF2903Z (Same voltage as the stock unit, but lower resistance and 20A less than the above mentioned)

Are you guys also looking at switching speeds? High current, high voltage, and low resistance is only part of it. And, make sure it's an enhancement type (not a depletion type)...

I will agree with Lutach, IRF2804 is a good choice. (IRF1404 not bad also)
IRL3803 is not a stella performer, but cheap.
The only place I would worry is boost-charge capacitor, replacement FET's have higher gate capacitance by 10-15% and require more charge.
But in general with T0-220 package you cannot draw more than 75A from FET, so the lower Rdon in this case better.
Just do not short FET's mounting/heatsinking tabs!

Looks like the ebay seller is no longer carrying them. Anyone know where else we can pick one of these babies up?
