Shocks - 01.29.2008, 02:39 AM

I know some of the guys on here are not very fond of Integy, but I have a full set of MSR8's and they are a pretty tough set of shocks. The shaft is very beefy so they do not bend like their other shocks. I have been using them for a few months and have not had any issues with them yet... The MSR 4, 5 & 6 are pretty weak and get bent much too easily, but this new product seems to hold up pretty well. Plus they are easy to come by on most of the hobby sites. Good luck with that.

The integy shocks are worthless IMO. their shafts bent, they have useless reservoirs.

one simple question Squee; Where? in opposite to what you are saying they are NOT easy to find. and proline doesn't support them anymore either. So for that matter they are worthless IMO. unless you've got 2 sets with one set in use and the other for spare parts.

I think the fronts are the right size. Somebody correct me if i am wrong.
The ofna shocks as used by UE are the rear shocks.

No, I wish I had 2 sets. My only set went with my JT T-Maxx truggy I sold. Coolhand got the By-Passes though. Parts aren't that hard to find. You just must not have looked to hard. Heres one example of a place in the UK. Only took about 10 seconds to find it...

Not exactly though. I believe they use shorter shafts to compensate for the extra length.

too bad proline doesn't support them anymore! it will be a matter of time before all sources run out. Too bad you don't seem to understand.

Shocks come and go, especially nice ones like the Prolines. I wouldnt get so bothered about it though; if they get busted up, so be it- try something different. Afterall, they arent that expensive relatively speaking, and down the line you will probably end up getting rid anyway if you have a change of truck etc.

I like my Integypoop MRS8s; they're shiney!..... might get something without piggybacks though- lets have a look at these Ofna dealies.

Im just thinking more about my shell- with the G3.3 suspension the shocks are laid right down almost, which makes the piggybacks stick up rather alot, limiting how low the shell can be positioned. Are there any good places to look for assembled ofna shocks, everything I find is for parts.

shocks are fun to build! just use the associated green slime on the o-rings. they seriously don't take long at all to build.

Xray XT8 (Neu powered) MMM on 5s
MD 500 scale heli - castle HV-45 on 3s
Eflite Blade 400 heli on 3s

I understand what your saying and your right, all sources will run out eventually. But the key word there is eventually. The Prolines are very stout and at worst, you would only ever need bladders and o-rings.
