I can see it now. This is going to be like the bidding wars on Fleebay where everyone is waiting to see what the price is going to be and jumping on it at the last minute. We will see everyone clearing out the stocks in a few minutes. If CC is eliminating the LHS/middle man by selling online directly through them, then CC's profit margine is probably still pretty reasonable even with dropping 25%. At any rate it sounds like it will be a good deal for us if the MMM makes it into this sale. I for one am looking forward to getting to try it out on my toys. Buy American and support our way of life, before things go too far and we cannot turn it around.

I for one always try to buy a product that employs american workers or at least has an american based company behind it. The car issue is difficult, cause some import brand cars are made in the US but they money generated goes back to Japan, and the parts are foreign too. I own a few ford products, and do not really see the benifit to buying import vehicles. I am biased due to owning a body shop, and having worked on cars all of my life!

i agree with you 110%, linc. my dad retired from GM - he worked there for almost 40 years, and that money is what raised me and my brother, put both of us through school, and is what pays his dr. bills now etc. The advertising agency that i work for has had Mazda for a client for 10 years (we came up with the 'zoom zoom' campaign) and i get a supplier discount on any mazda i want, along with other incentives - but i won't buy one. they're great cars, but US companies are having a difficult enough time competing and it's costing US jobs...BIG time.

i think it's absolutely horrid that something like that happened to Castle. they're proof that an american company can thrive and prosper, and make incredible products - what america is all about - and then something stupid like this happens to them. i'll continue buying Castle products - but not during the month of march. (thanks anyhow though, castle)

Doesnt Mazda sell a re-badged Ford SUV? You could buy that... But being a GM man that might seem even worse than going Japanese.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I'm with you guys on the buy USA stuff, except on some things. For example, on a family car - great, we have a Suburban because it's perfect for our family and it's a well built rig. However, when I think about buying a sport sedan - what is a guy supposed to do? Tell me a car made in the USA that is comparable to the Audi S8 and I'm in. I just can't think of one.

Buy a srt8 charger, much more fun than the audi. Plus audi is very similar to vw, and I just do not see the qaulity in either brand. I fix cars for a living and have driven everything sold for the last 10 years. I have yet to be impressed by a european car, and the japanese stuff is boring. Most of the larger chrysler stuff is based off mercedes floorpans and suspension, and they seem to very nice cars, for the price.

Right on, I can appreciate that. In fact I've considered the SRT8 Charger but it's no Audi S8. The S8 is just in a different level there. However, I will say that the products in that Charger/Magnum family are some of the first USA cars in a while that have piqued my interest. Now if they refine the interior, make it a little smaller, give it AWD . . . we might really have something. I've also been pulling for the CTS-V but it's got a ways to go too. Sorry for the highjacking of the thread here, but cars are just too fun to talk about!
