What happened to my packs? - 02.05.2008, 06:29 PM

I was driving my cousins mamba rusty. I was using my 7 cell packs for it. I have been driving it with these but today I head a puff sound and I didnt know what it was, so I brought it in and the shrink rap popped! I spent all of my money on these packs! $150 I hope I can get a new set. :( I just wish I could get a full run without somthing going wrong.

Looks like they vented. Maxamps should warrenty them, but I would check to see if something didnt cause them to vent rather than just assume they are bad packs.

There seems to be alot of wear on the shrink wrap and even a small rip on one cell- make sure nothing could have shorted them out. If they never seemed that great though then it probably was just a bad batch of cells.

Certainly looks like they overheated. What motor and gearing?

I never had good luck with the Ib4200s.

I'd contact maxamps customer support, there should be a link on their website.
