Well, I read the manual and cannot seem to find the parts on nitrohouse. Ofna #18987 appears to be the assembly that is required.

You mean the 2 speed?
I was looking for the plastic gear (66t?) with the slipper assy, as pictured with the monster pirate: http://www.ofna.com/mon_pirate_80.html
Middle of the page there is a pic of what looks like a plastic spur with a slipper assy.

How many teeth is in that pinion you R using?
would this work on a HV4.5 on 12 cells?

does rc-monster sell them those direct drive units yet. cause i cant find them on there site.
or im a just dump and keep over looking it.

Can you gear a Hvmaxx motors that low? Feigao/Neus should be ok.

i see no reason why it wouldn't. remember that this takes away the transmission, so gearing will be way different than it was before. you'll use setups simular to what the truggys uses. make sure to use the speed calculator to get the gearing right.
