I am sure that if people gear the system correctly they will not have any issues with the novak gear. I am sure that novak will not come out with truggy conversions for the hv motors. The truggies are too heavy for the motor.

I also wonder how many "bad" novak systems were that way from using inferior nimh batteries? I have a 6.5hv motor on the way to test, and have run quite a few 380c feigao motors, even put a l can in an emaxx. They had tons of power, that is for sure! We shall see how the novak conversions do.

I am sure that a neu/mm setup will be better.

My son's emaxx has been running a novak 6.5 for over a year and the only problem is overheated cheap nimh's. And of course broken emaxx parts. Geared right it should be fine in a buggy. But I doubt it will hang with a good brushless system. But then again how much is a neu motor? ;) Now my 4.5 is another story......

All I can say is that for dependability, my Neu/Quark is ten times of that of Novak I used to own. And before my Neu combo, I had the 10xl/9920 (almost a year for esc, motor just went last summer)which still lasted longer than the HV Maxx (3months, ran 3 times).
