Run times on savage. - 02.19.2008, 11:05 AM

I am looking to do my savage to run on brushless, I am planning to buy Mamba max esc / 4600kv motor abroad due to cost in uk, on 18/47 gearing with locked first gear in tranmission on X savage.

i am planning to buy 3S 11.1v lipo battery with biggest capitney. maybe 4-5000mah off ebay.

what makes it have long run time?

Would it stuggle on that gearing ?

I have made a motor mount but i think it will be weak.

mount is 1 piece that replace the stock motor mount. will be held on by 2 plastic servo block that hold it to TVP chassis. i might make other one.

The Mamba motor will quickly overheat in the Savage. Think about it. It's designed for 4 pound stadium trucks, not >10 pound monster trucks. You need to get a Feigao 540 7XL if you're planning to use 3s lipos, but an 8XL or 9XL on 4s lipos would be even better.
