New: NEU updated motors - 02.19.2008, 03:42 PM

Check out Neu's website... they have changed some of the kv specs and also have more kv choices now!

For example, my 1512 1900kv is now listed as 1850kv... and there is a new 2050kv 1515 2D.

I would have bought that instead of my 1515 2.5D which is now 1650 not 1700kv

Kyosho 777

B4 LRP
XX4 MM 7700
old losi xxcr, MM4600 4s lipo 70mph+

So now that they changed the spec, it will be faster right....

I like that they did this. I think that Neu used to do some very generous rounding on their motor kv specs. I like that they are giving more accurate numbers. One wierd thing is it appears that some new specs are 50 or so kv higher and some are 50 or so kv lower. Thats telling me that they were not rounded consistantly.

Glad to see this, the more accurate the info the better IMO.

well that should have at least put an explanation why they changed the specs

50kv in my truck on 5S make 1mph difference so that does not really matter

Shucks... my 1512 1.5d went from 3200kv to 3300kv. Not that I really need another 100kv. The motor is already too fast as it is.

Your buggy isnt gonna get faster cuz they changed the spec on the website. The motor is still the same motor.

Yes it will. That is what makes Neu motors so special!

They could have changed design a bit. Different magnet basket, different case, different wire coating, etc.

It's got to be just updated specs... some of the specs did not change, so I don't think it could be a physical motor update just to certain ones.

Brian I thought you would like that lol

I wish the 2000kv version had been available when I bought my 1515/1y, but 2200kv not bad.
