Anything new in LiPo Battery tech? - 02.27.2008, 10:51 AM

With Feb coming to a close and March rolling in, I start to think about spring and the upcoming RC Race season starting. Is there anything new in LiPo Battery technology coming soon? More capacity, lower weight, more punch?

Yes where have you seen this. I have heard a few mention it, but nobody can say they have seen it or has any links or picturs or knows any specifics. Anything you know Id be interestd to hear.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I saw an add in Rc car action. The new A123 cells are 2200 mah and fit in a standard battery tray.

Well, the original question for this topic was somewhat broad spectrum but I can narrow it down to asking if there is anything new or on the short horizon coming from MaxAmps?

With a new race season just weeks away I'm wondering if now is the time to buy new batteries or if something newer/better is just a little off. Lighter weight? Higher Capacity? More "C" rating? Safer? Anything new in LiPo/battery tech from MaxAmps?
