I have a friend that has a radar gun...... I'll use both... does the GPS take more than 1 second to take the reading?...

Yes, also you need to factor in cloud cover satellites available. On a clear day my GPS will get a good reading in about 200FT. I no longer use or trust my radar, I get crazy readings some times.....tree's in my neighbor hood move 20 MPH
