5-year ongoing "Rustler" project - 03.26.2008, 04:21 AM

The Rustler was my first "real" RC truck, and I got it almost five years ago. It's been through a lot, and here are some pics detailing a couple of those years:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v132/4x4pede/Rustler/

Now it has:
-polycarbonate lower chassis, side plates, and front and rear shock towers
-aluminum upper deck
-XTM X-Cellerator steering bellcrank/servo saver
-FLM extended front arms, front bulkhead, and tranny case
-RPM rear arms
-Nitro Rustler spindles/block conversion with Powerline aluminum c-hubs
-Powerline aluminum 4-tec rear axle carriers (3 deg. toe-in)
-Ofna 1/8 Super Shocks in front and rear
-HPI dogbone conversion
-Revo slipper clutch with MGT mod1 spur and 20t pinion (this spur shouldn't ever strip!)
-Lunsford titanium upper turnbuckles in front and rear
-Airtronics 94162z servo
-Spektrum SR3000 receiver (controlled by a Nomadio React transmitter)
-Mamba Max ESC
-Great Planes Ammo 36-56 2600kv motor
-4s2p A123 (13.2v 4600mah)

Here are the only stock parts:
-stock plastic diff (doesn't strip with the use of the aluminum tranny case)
-steel top gear

That's why I say "Rustler" Onto the current pics:

This truck still needs minor things, like bracing the chassis between the ends of the side plates and the gearbox (basically where the motor is), thicker oil in the front shocks, and thinner oil in the rear shocks. But it's driveable!
