Yo I’m back again with another project
I’m chasing a basic brushless control that will handle 100+ amps up to 30v basic means not to expensive like forward and reverse and that’s it.
Does anyone know if it exists?
Well, this 7s/200A is close for a really cheap price. I was really eyeing this one, but not sure how well it works for cars or if it has reverse. 7s=26v.
If you want 30v, I assume you are looking at an 8s setup? That's starting to get into the "HV" realm and those aren't really cheap. There are a few aircraft ones around for cheap, but you generally have the slow ramp-up in throttle which some don't like, the burst current isn't all that great, and most don't have reverse (although you could do some type of mechanical servo-actuated reverse system). And some air ESCs won't work with a pistol grip radio without a pistix adaptor.

Wow, that ESC is not a bad price as all.... that thing can pump out 5100+ Watts?.. for only $65... that's friggin' cool...
That's that big monster sized ESC that was going on ebay a while back with some cheap motor included, right ? I think it was going for about $100. I heard some people did fairly OK with that ESC, and I think it had reverse iirc.
Heck, for that price I might grab two of them, lol.
Thanks for the info I got an on road carfor speed runs, I run 2x 4 cell lipo packs and I wire them up as 8 cell when doing speed runs and I wire them up parallel when drifting for more capacity. so it needs to be a minimum 4-8 cell esc and it needs to handle a 1940 I do have an 160amp mgm control but that’s very expensive so I don’t want to crash the car, I need a cheep one.
So, if you had a cheap ESC, you'd want to crash the car? lol, j/k. It's just how your post sounded. Your best best for cheap 4-8s ESCs will be aircraft ones - you just might have some issues with reverse, braking, throttle calibration, and burst current ratings...
