that is a light weight truck. If the motor don't over wind would be the question. 9 cell is 10.8 volts x the kv which not sure of. 6000 kv would only turn 66000 rpm. If you try it keep a close eye on temps. I ran a 8l on 18 cells. Not sure if it was safe either but still running the motor today. 3000 kv motor on 21.6 volts 64800 rpm.

Peace!

That's 47,908.8 RPM's. I don't remember if Feigao's have a 60,000 or 50,000 RPM limit. If it's 60,000 I would try but watch the temps.

I think it's 60,000. I think I will do it anyway even if it's not...just for fun. :)

Feigao motors have a limit of 50,000 RPM. You would be safe to run 9 cells. It would be good if you could gear it down a little, but I'll bet you just want the pure speed :).

Well, I figure if it's way undergeared on 6 cells (like it is now) I figure going up 3 teeth should work fine with 9 cells.

Isn't the 8L for around 12 cells?

How did it perform, did it get hot? Low gearing I imagine too. :D

Technically, the Feigaos have a 50000 rpm limit, but this can be pushed without much issue. The real problem will be trying to drive it with all that power! Have fun!

IF you have the truck geared right for 6 cells. You need to drop a couple teeth when you go up on cells. YOu may want to try it geared like it is first. Just a suggestion. Even though it may go faster with higher gear.

I see...now I need a battery tray for all the cells. What do you guys think? I've got a bunch of 1/8" aluminum, but I don't want it to look hack (I've got a hack saw and a dremel to cut it).
