My First attempt at a buggy - 04.15.2008, 04:49 PM

Here are some pics of what i've come up with so far... main focus was find a way to mount everything and clean up the wiring... i've got two new buggys comming so i used this one to mock everything up so i can transfer the final setup to one of the new ones... i'll then take a nirtro and electric to the track and see which one comes out on top... my pick is the electric if i can find a way to use all that power, i ran it on 4s last night and it wheelies for a good 6ft with the stock setup in the diffs and shocks...

so far the setup is:

-RC-monster motor mount and custom battery tray
-neu 1515 1y (2200kv)
-quark monster pro mounted on rc-monster mount with arctic silver and two 5v 40mm fans running off the rx pack
-pair of 5s thunder power extreme v2 5000mah packs
-losi 2s 2000 lipo reciever pack and regulator

i've got a CC bec but i might stick with the rx pack for better wight ballance... i might also change the motor to a 1512 when they become available... i might also add a mechanical rear brake, i've got the special front motor plate that lets you mount a rear brake disk as you can see and space in front of the motor for the servo

let me know if you guys have any suggestions on setup and overall layout...

That's a torquey motor for a buggy. Let us know how it runs at the track.

i kept the stock gearing, 13/48... the battery and motor combo gives me 40000 rpm.... i might go with a 46 tooth spur to get it a little quiter, its pretty loud with the steel spur
