Hey what radio are you using with this controller? Maybe there is a communication issue between the two? Like linc says we know it is frustrating but you should keep trying. Maybe one of the guys who have more experience with the MGM can either help to get it set up, or maybe even set it up for you and send it back. Then you will know for sure if something is wrong with the MGM or something else. For the money anything is worth a try, and when it is finally setup and running all of the bad will be lost. If there is one characteristic that matters most in our hobby it is patients. and maybe a good shot of Tiquila once in a while. Good luck with your issues.

A few guys have reported some similar problems that you have been having in this thread: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...gm+low+voltage

If you read through it you can find settings that they used to try to correct the issues. Topas and lutach talk about the acceleration while braking issue on page 8. MGM has also released some firmware updates that you could try out. I think the latest out is 3.22

Just be glad that I do not let them near the computer. I can only imagine what they would type. It is hard enough to keep them from making eye contact, can't have the servants looking at me.

OJCrush - Try it with the freewheel off and see what it does. I know it is a pain to change just one thing and them run the truck, but sometimes that is the only way to get it right. And make sure that you have all ofthe weird settings in the spectrum centered. I had a JR 3i fm and it gave me fits until I thoroughly read the manual and made sure everything was setup correctly.

Nah, it's not a PIA to keep making adjustments. I'm sitting on the floor with my laptop making changes.

I've tried one thing at a time and damn near broke my wrist when it took off right at me as I was trying to drive it in.

Everytime you hit the brake, it ACCELERATES for a second or two and then applies brakes.

You should see my wife's car.... I smashed the ground effect (fiberglass) when it ran into it. (thank god I own two bodyshops)

I'll try it again with freewheel off.

Ha, I own a bodyshop too. There are quite a few BS owners on this site. Brian from Bombproof has a shop too. Not a bad business, pays for RC! Where are your shops?

One shop is a 10K sq. ft building for collision repair. Last Tuesday was our 11th year anniv. Everything we do is word of mouth and referall. No phone books, no advertising.... It's in Indian Trail, NC.

My other shop is only 2 years old. It's a 12K building that does collision and mostly restorations. At 2 years old, it still sucks. (takes a while to really get established)

It's in Monroe, NC.

Well, I'm doing in the garage and using the driveway as my test run. I've learned to stay away from everything and I did have to jump at one point...lol.

It's hard to remember that hitting the brake gives it gas for a second and then it brakes. (breaks...lol)

I don't know what else to do. I've changed about every parameter one parameter at a time. Same issue.

Just what we need another lincpimp painter in the gang to stir things up. Don't you have some bodies to paint linc. No worries orangecrush we can always use more imput and it's always nice to have nubies in the bunch. Not only do we try to help out here, but we like to have some fun to. Watch out for linc though. He's got wild animals running around the house. Lets hope that with a few days in here you might be able to settle your issues with the MGM. Good luck with that.

Have you tried setting the brakes to very hard? Some people reported that that fixed the problem for them.

Actually, I tired hard (the second setting of hard), there were two settings harder but I didn't try them.

I fixed the trans (had to replace a pin) but one of the times that the throttle floored itself, it trashed some steering servo linkages.... point is, I took it apart so the POS controller will have to wait.

Jerry,

I'm using a Spektrum 3.0 radio. It's the same one I've been using. Each time I use a different (same brand, same model, just different controller), I get different problems.

The only option I haven't tried is changing it back to race mode and install the low voltage shut off back in it again.

That's what I've been doing until I received the new controller. Maybe I need to go back to doing that AGAIN...

Thanks King, the new controller is 3.22.... new updates, new problems.

So what are you saying? Use or not use freewheel? I've got it "on" now.

Thanks all...
