Well, First off it wasnt photgraphically or otherwise altered. That is how it came. If you notice there are 2 traxxas RC's it is in. The black one is in the new E-REVO and the Green one is in the new E-MAXX. OK, so this is how I keep coming up with the photos and Vids I find on it. Being the painter I am part of many RC websites. Plus that and I like to dabble in all different forms of RC. Its cool to see what the others are doing outside the box. I figure that since this week was the RCX show, You know there was many people taking camera's and whatnot and getting pics and Vids. I love this site and to be honest RC Monster rocks in the Electric scene. max Amps website can take a long walk on a short pire for all I care. But, I have no problem sorting out and showing what else I can find on this. It is obvious that a whole lot of us are awaiting this release. But I just so happen to be the guy who will wait for the production set to come out rather then settle fior the ESC just to satisfy my IDE! Bottom line, I can not believe that out of the half a dozen or more RC monster members, Not one person got the low down or talked face to face about the whens, hows, and whatsup with this. Yet it is all over the web on other sites. Funny thing is, This is being talked about on other websites that are Nitro websites more than here.
I personally would like to really know first hand if in fact this Green motor is the production motor to be released and when it will be released as the whole set. But if I find something else pertaining to the Mamba Monster. Ill be sure to drop it here.

Oh yeah, and I am wondering with these sitting in the Traxxas RC's Is this perhaps the begining of Traxxas and Mamba joining forces selling this as a full on RTR deal?

The green one is the one supposed to be sold. And the combo will be out in about 1 to 2 months from what the CC reps said. The price would be just way too high for CC to combine with Traxxas and sell it all as a rtr. The shaft was also REALLY hard to turn , so I can bet that it will be one super torque monster.

The Castle reps I talked to at the show said the MM ESC will be out in two weeks, but the motor isn't ready yet and will come out later (TBA).

I believe it will not have the built-in USB port, but rather programmable via Castle Link. Should have the same level of programmability though, just a different connection method.

Brian is correct. It will not have a USB port. You will need to use a CastleLink, which i just confirmed is included with the Monster.

G'day Mates,
I just got an email reply from a Castle Product Specialist (not Joe though) that said
"The Mamba Monster Max will include the full Castle Link which will be no different than the link you can buy separately."

Sweet just checking. Are you going to order an MMM from castle? I've been debating whether to e-mail them or just wait for the MMM to appear on their site. I probably should just e-mail them.

Well, I cant decide on a motor for my Revo conversion. Im thinking about waiting for the combo or getting a Medusa.
One concern i have about the combo is the pricing. A couple of weeks ago Patrick said the MMM would be 170 and the combo 300ish. Well as youve heard, the MMM is 180. So that could mean that the combo might be closer to 400 than i'd like.
Im in no real rush since i just started the conversion and im still waiting for my parts to come in.

What to do... lower KV motor and higher voltage (Medusa) or higher KV and lower volts (CC/Neu)?!?!?
