I can't believe they're really pushing the 1515 1Y for use on 6S and a 1512 1Y for 4S.
Why is that? The 1512 1y (kv=2750) on 4s is ~41krpm, and the 1515 1Y (kv=2200) is ~32krpm. I would even go up to 5s on each as long as it is geared right...
Don't forget that lipos are 4.2v/cell, or 29.4v on 7s - and A123s are 3.6v/cell or 28.8v on 8s. Some components may not like that even though the voltage will drop fairly quickly.

Umm, Brian, 6S on the 1515 1Y is what they recommend...not 4S. That's 48.8k RPM.
Also, it would have been nice had they clarified that it's ok to use less than 6S on a 1515/1Y and that the 1512/1Y may not be a good choice for a 1/8th scale truggy. Here's their misleading text:
NEU 1515 1 Y for 6S 1/8th scale and 6S MONSTER TRUCKS
NEU 1512 1 Y for 1/8th scale conversions on 4S max
