Align 600XL - How is it?

A buddy of mine has a 600XL lying around, and is gonna be dropping it into his Emaxx with a MM ESC.

Anyone have any thoughts on gearing? It'll likely be running on 4S, so I'm thinking it'll need to be geared fairly high................

It won't perform real good on 4S. It should be used with 6S.

Ya, I know it'll be slow on 4S, but it should still have enough power to pull some pretty tall gearing, no?

Going above 4S/14 cells isn't really an option at this point, and he's hoping to not have to get a new motor.

Yes, it will have plenty of power.

my friend burned 2x 600xl one 1650kv the other 1700kv on 6S in his muggy. probably overgearing as he used 46/14 which makes almost 50mph

my align on 5S geared for like 37mph does very well
