@ lincpimp: I've been trying to keep it as basic as possible. That's the cool part hehe.
Lol yeah, maybe i should change the topic name :P We always say Ass here in Sweden hehe.
@ lutach: Oh okay coolers! I was using 3S too and it was plenty was then also. I will try to get hold on a slightly bigger pinion this week or so. Maybe my friend can make them at his work. This body was the best buy ever made lol. No but i think it's a good speed body. All the changes i've made to it have really worked out for the better too.
@ miniGranis: Didn't understand that :P
@ its me: I always get this question and all i can say that i've been more than precise with the rollout setting and that i pretty sure that i ain't getting any wheel spin too. I am very gentle with the throttle, as you may see in the videos. And all the runs i make are very consistant all the time. But sure, it's not as accurate as as radar gun.
Go for it and build it! ;)

I definately want to see a radar pass, not the Venom. If I remember correctly, there is someone else who worked on a TC4 and clocked between 105-110 on a radar, yet clocked 140+ on the Venom due to wheel spin when the car would break a little traction. I personally did 102mph Tuesday night on a 5700 running 4S. I don't like to knock down anyone, but I have been working with Castle's help on this project for a couple of months and they assured me that the motors are only good for a max of 65k!! I logged 60k with the datalogger on my setup.....

Here is a sample vid of my car and after comparing, both cars do not look that far off from each other. I don't see the 30mph difference?? I could be wrong.......
What do you guys think??

I do see a bit of a difference... but that could be from da/night, different camera FPS, etc.. but a radar pass or GPS pass would be killer...

Speedracer, you have a fast car don't get me wrong here, I can def see a difference between yours and vassmar's car though. It may not be 100% accurate with the venom setup but I would say he's pretty close.

Nice going, don't know how people manage to handle a 1/10 car going that speed. 70mph 1/10 is fast enough let along 120mph+

Well, apperently the 7700 do works on 4S. And honestly i think that pass looks abit like my 90-100mph passes. So i can see a difference. Now i know that the Venom speedo isn't 100% correct but, every run i've made with the car has been very consistant. I have done the same top speed around 120mph on 3 differnt days. And compared to what speed i started at 2 weeks ago i think it would be weird if i got more and more wheel spin so to speak beacsue the speed have been increasing every time due to changes i've made.So i think it's pretty close to the real speed. But i will get a radar gun, will order one today ;) Probably a Eagle Tree system too so we can see the RPM etc. too.
Any more info on your car btw? :)

That would be awesome, and by the looks of it.. it does look like it's going that fast or close to that speed anyways.... but it still amaze me that you are able to get to those speeds with that much power.... I love the take off though, it looked pretty sweet... did you break anything...

We'll see :) I'm sure Nic will have something up his sleave for this years competition.
@ aqwut: It's a solid car so i havn't got any damage what so ever after several hard crashes, both in the woods and on the tarmac hehe.

FYI, the 7700 is one though little motor.. i just ran 5S tests and it's still in one peace But i only manage a top speed of 124mph becasue the spur broke on the second run.. but new update coming as soon as i've got a new spur in. Also.. i have never heard a motor revving that high just when the spur broke haha.
