My new conversion E-MBX5 - 04.30.2008, 01:44 PM

I am just in the making of another conversion. I got a MBX5-roller for a really nice price.
I just finished the batteryholder ( i was about to order one from Mike but it was out of stock) Then i tried to make one myself..... its not that bad really.
This is how far i´ve come so far:

Close up with handmade tray:

I am making a mount for the esc and bec soon.... then it is ready to race.....

Mugen Rules! If I could get my MMM on my E-MBX5 this thing would be bullet proof.

Thanks for the positive posts. This is the key (IMO) to get a clean Wiring-solution:

This is great to place the ESC and the BEC and very simple to make, i use: aluminium-plate and posts from the fueltank with some screws and washers..... it makes the wiring so much easier.

I just put up a short vid on "the tube"... the first testrun, no body..... E-MBX5 Video

Looks very nice- what motor is hiding in there? In the shadows it looks a little Feigao-esque??

Nice job ...I just finished my conversion this week. My buggy weighed in at 9.2lbs....here's the link...http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11763

I used a custom top plate made by Mike for the esc and also allowed me to still use the brakes.

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I like that customplate, but i think it is about 10mm to short on the back end, i want space to place both ESC and BEC next to each other....

What motor to use? - 05.08.2008, 09:55 AM

I am thinking of one of these in my E-MBX5 prospec:
-Neu 1512 2d/f (2600kv)
-Neu 1512 2.5d/f (2050kv)
-Mega Motor ACn22/35/1E (2550kv)

I will be running it with Polyquest 4S 5000mah PQ, Monster max.....
I am intrerested in Mega motor, but they are very exposed and "open". .... is there a fix to this? It would be nice with 6-poles Or is the Neu in a class of its own?

I am currently using Mamba Max, CC BEC, Feigao 8XL, Polyquest 4S 5000mah PQ
