Which zippy pack or truerc somewhat affordable lipo question

hello all i have been looking at getting into lipo, i only bash, so i'm looking at cheaper options its down to the 5s1p 5000mah trueRC packs or one of the 5s1p 4500-5000 mah zippy packs from Korea. the question is which one, they have the green, blue or zippy-R pack and they have a higher c rating

so this goes out to anyone with any of these batteries please chime in, i know about the track power or enerland option but that is way out of my budget im looking to spend around 120 bucks for a 5s1p 4500+ mah

my main question is which zippy is descent 15-20c or should i just use the 10c trueRC?
this is for a e-revo conversion mmm and i'll wait for the motor to come out i just want to get everything setup i just bought my hyperion 0610i the 250watt one

Either should be good, but you are right to ask about the C ratings. Ideally, you want a battery that can provide at least 80-100amps continuous, so if you take that trueRC battery:

5000mah x 10c = 50amps continuous, which isnt too bad, but somewhat below par for waht you want really.

If you go for a zippy, then a 20c 4500mah battery will provide 90amps continuous, which is much more like it

I think the main difference between the zippies is the C ratings, and their shape, hence the different letters (K, R, S etc); my advice is to buy the best capacity & C rating you can afford, provided it fits your truck ofcourse.

From the tekno site: "150mm x 50mm" but mine is more like 148 x 50. The end lips are verticle but the side lips are at a slight angle so the base is 50mm but it gets wider. I hope thats understandable and it helps some.

neil is right on with what I would sugest. Make sure you pick a pack that is capable of at least 80A continuous. Thats about the breaking point I have found for a 4-5s setup. Less than that and you will be pushing the cells very hard and likly not get the life you would expect from them. IMO the TrueRC 5000 is not really the best choice, they are a bit under rated for a big truck. If it were me, I would go with the Zippy 20C 5000mah pack. I have a few of those Zippy packs in 5000mah 4s and they are proving to be very nice cells for the $$$. In fact, when the 5000mah 5s Zippys come back into stock I'm planning to pick a couple up to use as extra practice packs so I can do less charging at the track and still run all day.
