3s+9L in a lightweight 1/8th buggy ????

If you don't expect to keep the same 45mph speeds... (gear it down..) then I think your setup could do ok. It goes against much of my personal preferences... although I have run basicly the same thing before. That was back before the MM and I had a Hacker Sport in a Kyosho buggy with a 9L.

It ran ok... but never got to do much with it. The motor had a winding short out and then the esc smoked, LOL....

Keep the buggy as simple and light as possible and don't gear it to be the fastest car on the track, and it should do ok.
